I was responding to your statement that a deceptive trade practices claim was an available remedy in small claims court. That is not correct in the US, because the ADA (Airline Deregulation Act) preempts such claims and DOT has exclusive jurisdiction.
I was not commenting on OP's specific situation. Obviously he has no basis to sue in the US on the facts presented
