Overall with the lack of IHG (my main go to chain), it works well for me.
I did stay in a Nordic once, and enrolled in the club, but prefer Scandic for the above.
How are Scandic with upgrades nowadays?
I used to be top tier with Scandic around the time when they transitioned to their current program must have gotten that via a promotion, status match or something else because Scandic hotels have only been a back up for me since the Hilton-Scandic break-up. The last time I had any Scandic floor elite status and used the status was for some free access for a horse race event. Not sure Scandic are doing as much with those kind of things as they used to do. Their properties are at least selectively better now than they used to be when Hilton was associated with them.
Nordic Choice gives 75 to 125 SEK vouchers depending on elite status tier, but the 75/125 SEK voucher benefit is not applicable to the subset of Clarion hotels noted as Clarion Collection hotels. After 5 nights within the membership year starting on account opening day/month, its the 75 SEK food and drink voucher benefit per night; and this benefit lasts for the remainder of the membership year in which the status was earned plus the following membership year.
