Depends on what RQ this reservation actually is using, not the CDP (CDP especially the AMEX code would force some rate code though), extending the rental instead of book the length at the reservation might result in different ways to calculate the rate. You can find it in the confirmation email, bottom has a line called

Optional Information
Rate Code

But I'm assuming your best bet in this case is just to return the car in the middle
