Yes, breakfast for Platinum Elite members and above is complicated in the Marriott Bonvoy program across its many brands -- but it's rather straightforward for Sheraton.
According to the "ELITE WELCOME GIFT FOR PLATINUM ELITE MEMBERS AND ABOVE" chart in the
Marriott Bonvoy Loyalty Program Terms & Condition, at "St. Regis, The Luxury Collection, W Hotels, Sheraton, Le Méridien, Westin, Tribute Portfolio," members have a choice of "1,000 Points per Stay or amenity per Stay
or breakfast in restaurant per night of Stay for Member +1 (including Resorts)."
If the hotel does not offer these choices, the hotel owes you USD$100 in guest compensation.
This is is addition to Guaranteed Lounge Access at "Sheraton, Le Méridien, Westin," if the hotel has a lounge and it's open. (There's no alternative at these brands otherwise.)
The rules are different for Marriott legacy brands.
