I thought this would have been an issue for me however, and to be honest, I won't miss it so when I can I will get the 14 Pro Max.
I haven't had the need for a physical SIM since the iPhone 11 Pro Max and if I need a physical SIM slot I have my Samsung Galaxy S8 or iPhone 7 for that.
