'Forcing' a Daily Rate Instead of 1 Week

Basically, I'm wondering if there's anyway to 'force' a reservation to use the daily rate rather than weekly with Hertz - specifically get 5 days of the daily rate instead of a 1 week rate?

Use case - next month I have a rental from OGG for 4 days 8 hours. Rate was $484 for a 1 week. While re-checking rates today I had a happy accident when AAA changed my search from a 10:30pm return to 10:30am and I realized the 4 day rate was less than half ($215) the weekly rate I was getting for my original reservation.

For now I booked the $215 rate and plan on extending it for the extra 8 hours I need - this should just result in an extra 1 day charge, right?

Called the reservation line and the overseas rep said she was unable to book what I was asking.

I did some searching and couldn't find anything like this - very possible I'm not using the right terminology. If there's an existing thread that fits this, please let me know.
