AA went in aggressively to defend their home turf (TX flying) and Delta retreated pretty quickly. I don't see DL ramping up AUS again until the next economic boom cycle.
I've wondered if DL miscalculated and now regrets the SC and other physical investments. AUS is basically a large outstation at this point. Then again, they seem to have a similar club planned for MCI.
As an AUS based DL flyer, I love the physical improvements. The SC in AUS is head and shoulders above the Admirals Club and United Club. It is disappointing that my only real options to get anywhere are with connections through ATL or SLC
