Yes, the M gates. You follow signs either to S gates, which dumps you in the passport control hall (at the back left corner, looking towards the desks), and then go upstairs to your gate, or you follow signs to exit and end up on a mezzanine level above the transit (where you’d meet non-Schengen arriving pax who take the escalators down from the arrivals immigration hall), and down one more escalator to the transit to T4 main.

MAD T4 and T4S are very ‘flexible’ - the only times a non-standard connection flow are necessary are when:
- Schengen T4S arrival connecting to Schengen T4 departure - need to reclear security
- non-Schengen T4 arrival connecting to non-Schengen T4S departure (or vice versa), which require you to be bussed to/from the T4 aircraft. This is no longer the case since covid (not sure if covid or Brexit is the reason) as all non-Schengen flights leave from T4S now.
