I just finished a stay here. I will post a longer more complete review, but I can confirm all the modernization is complete. I was on the 20th floor in a Nile view king room. There were gadgets that I didn't even know how they worked! No upgrade to a suite, but the hotel was fully occupied. I had a talk for 20 minutes or more with the food and beverage manager and I will report back what I learned. They are renovating the bottom 7 floors now. The executive lounge was redone and its lovely. I will try to post pictures, but the internet may prevent it. I had a wonderful stay except for one problem which was solved.
