I found the UA lounge at LHR massively overcrowded and underwhelming earlier this year, with few empty seats and an unappealing F&B selection other than the bar that makes OK cocktails. Whilst it’s likely better than the T5A Galleries Clubs (I assume, it’s been years since I’ve been in either to be honest), I’d say it was inferior to T5B and also definitely Galleries First if a OWE.

I never got why BA has two theoretically identical business class lounges a couple of minutes apart in T5A, though. It’s a complete lack of imagination not to try to differentiate them - make one business focused with quiet areas, good coffee etc and one leisure focused with a more extensive selection of alcohol and a family area, for example. Alternatively, if BA wants Club World to be a more competitive product again they could make one of them a premium J lounge with better facilities for those on expensive Club World tickets etc and the other can be where most frequent flyers, CE passengers without status etc are sent.
