Not defending the suggestion (what would be the point of CE if it didn't have lounge access? Those seats certainly aren't worth the markup); but Delta's line issues are because lounge access is included with the Amex Plat card, which is an immensely popular CC in the US. United and American don't have nearly the same crowding issues in their lounges as Delta.
