I have been eyeing to upgrading our Y tickets to business for almost two weeks now. And finally, last night we decided to go for it.

Here are the fixed upgrade cost:
LH: SFO to MUN $900
LX: ZRH to SFO $820

I went and took care of the LH flight first and payment went through in no time.

This is the most hearbreaking part… the moment i went to Swiss website, the cash upgrade cost went from $820 to $1,650, which is way beyond our budget. 🥲🥲🥲

I am thinking the upgrade i made on LH website few minutes beforehand had triggered the increase on the LX upgrade??? At least that’s what i suspect. Anything like this happened to anyone?

Anyhow, 4 days ago the price actually went up to $1,250 and it came down to $820 after 24hrs or so.

Here’s the only saving grace though, good thing i still have access on the bidding. Minimum bid was $770. I put a bid close to minimum so i am keeping my fingers crossed. The flight would be 49 days from now.

phew! This is kind of frustrating ☹️
