Quick data point here: I applied for status match for me and my wife in July (me AC Super Elite to Platinum, my wife AC 50K to Gold), and got approved six days later. E-mails have come in each time a threshold has been hit about fulfilling the challenge requirements, and the app has correctly reflected extended status once the milestones were achieved.

My only complaint has been that I constantly get e-mails letting me know that I've earned Silver Medallion status through 2023. It was especially funny to get those after I had already met the Gold and then Platinum requirements (and received e-mails to that effect). It almost looks like every single flight posting to my DL account triggers the Silver e-mail again, but one time I got seven times in one day with no flight activity, the day after I had gotten it twice (which would have been when two flights posted). So who the heck knows. It's just a slightly amusing minor nuisance.
