Anyway, the LAX-CPH flight gets cancelled the day before. I look up my options on United's website, and see several, that will still get me there in time for my OSL-BGO flight, maintaining my booking in Premium Economy across the pond. The system auto re-books me onto LH LAX-FRA-OSL, getting in 6 hours later and missing my original OSL-BGO flight. I called SAS "customer service" to try to get on one of the United flights, or LX SFO-ZRH, but no such luck. Agent says it doesn't matter what United's website shows, they can only re-book me on flights that THEY see on their computer. Pathetic. I ended up buying a new OSL-BGO ticket that departed later in the evening and cancelling the original. I should still be due EU 261 compensation though, no? Submitted that form, see how long it takes SAS LOL.
Tipp: Don't call SAS. The call Centers are pathetic. Just use the chat support on the website instead. However, one of the agents mentioned something interesting: Apparently there is no reproduction agreement with United anymore, so you couldn't have been put on UA anyway, if that is actually the case.

You most certainly are owed compensation from EU261 as you arrived 6h later than scheduled after a cancellation.
