But it is goodwill of the airline and you might be SOL if you rely on it.
Maybe this is what the agent at OSL was referring to. She did mention something about a special rules for all SK flights...

Hopefully that still does exist, because I am getting absolutely nowhere with rebooking. Telephone agents are the worst I've ever had since SK switched to the indian call center. Awful connection, another dude just hung up on me while I was waiting for him to quote a price, one guy just put me on hold while I was talking and they are borderline rude. The chat support agents are much much much better and always lovely to interact with, however the few I've talked to all told me different things. One agent quoted me a price for a routing involving UA, the other agent says they can rebook to all other STAR except UA due to missing reprotection agreement and can't find the routing and the third says even voluntary paid rebookings can't be rebooked to UA... At least the appear to try and do an effort to help me though and the chat agents are absolutely lovely and nice. So there's that at least.

I'm considering just cancelling and booking the routing I want seperately as it does seem to be available on google flights and co. but costs 600.- USD more... uuuugggghhhhh. IDK what to do.
