I have a flight from FRA to HND on LH in November, return with NH.
(SAS has apparently cancelled their Tokyo route until April next year, or so I heard.)
I am booked on Premium Economy (class G) and would like to upgrade using my EuroBonus points if possible.
On both pages it says:

You can also use your points to upgrade.
But how? Does anyone have any experience (success stories) with this?
Have you been able to get a upgrade on LH or NH using EB points:
- Bidding prior to check-in?
- By phone prior to check-in?
- During online check-in?
- During physical check-in at a desk?
- In the lounge? (in FRA or HND)
- At the gate?
Or any other method I did not think of...
