Managed to find QF award availability from Haneda to Sydney, one way in economy for 54700points pp (traveling in a group and have lots of points to burn).

Had to look twice when the taxes came to 54600yen(AUD600) pp which seems ridiculous for an economy seat. Is that normal for QF partner redemptions out of Japan?
The points plane people are in for a surprise if it is.

PS: economy return is around AUD$1650 including taxes direct from JAL
