source: friend did this once, gate agent said nothing can be done and put him on the gate list. Maybe if you are SE they can pull some magic but you as a lowly elite don’t expect any special treat.
Friend partial blamed this on “no confirmation page when doing SDC”, he was just curious and wanted to see what SDC options were available, ended with switching to an earlier flight with merely a few clicks.
Hmm maybe I’ll just call the concierge line and ask. It’s not the end of the world if they have to put us on the gate list. I’m SE and it would be a latitude fare. We should be at the very top of the list if it’s J3 still. And if not it’s just a 1.5 hour flight from YUL to YHZ I think I can tough it out in Y for that long.
