Indeed. On my last Y flight there was a little snafu and I didn't get wine with my meal. I waited to request it as it's a busy time and I wasn't fussed and the cabin crew told me off for not ringing the bell! I heard them say multiple times to people "don't worry, that's what we're here for" when requesting items not on the trolley etc. I do often grab a diet coke from the galley if going to the loo though

Re: the state of WTP - they've got 3 of these birds flying and they really must be a shocking state, I remember flying to Bangkok in 2015 and the seat was falling apart then. Hopefully refurb isn't too far away (or winter schedule a bit quieter so they can be rested !)
