I once travelled commercial with a VIP (his boarding pass actually said "VIP"), and we were extended significant courtesies by the airline, not the airport, including special treatment in the terminal. You might ask NW or Pinnacle, although I wonder if they'd be willing for such a short flight (ours was JFK-NRT).
