I've been anywhere from row 8 to 14 in an A220, so never far enough forward for that issue (and it was my initial thought as well). I expect aircraft may be flipping between a 100-series and 300-series, but still ... there seems to be no rhyme or reason to these incessant changes. The only saving grace is they at least keep giving me aisle seats.

It's very odd.
