Hello AC FTers! I am flying BGI-YYZ-DUB-LHR next month in P Business Class. I'd prefer to fly YYZ-LHR direct, but understand from the SDC wiki that the policy does not apply as 1) I'd be reducing number of connections and 2) whilst DUB-LHR is AC coded, it's operated on EI metal.

Question: Does the airport (BGI or YYZ) have the discretion to move me onto the direct flight? Am I right to assume better to be Hand Baggage Only if so? Where would be best place to ask (BGI checkin? YYZ Concierge?)
