I stayed a second night at Sheraton, this time paid for by Lufthansa after a flight disruption. No elite benefits granted for example I was denied check-out later than noon because it is considered a third party booking, despite knowing I am Ambassador Elite. In similar circumstances many airport hotels gave me some limited benefits even though they did not have to. Not here.
The standard room was quite grim unlike the suite I had previously which was not too bad. In the regular room, there were no slippers, no bathrobes, toiletries were Le Grand Bain instead of the better ones in the suite. And the shower was in a bathtub, unlike in the suite.
On the positive side, staff at the restaurant proactively brought me the drink I ordered the morning prior which was impressive service for a Sheraton brand hotel and considering how many guests they have to serve.
