On this, at least BA seem to have been following a consistent line for quite some time now.

A few years back, I flew an overnight to MCT. Departed late night from LHR with a 7/8 load in F (one of the seven being me).

Quite early into the flight, after emerging from the front bathroom, I got into ‘galley chat’ with a particularly pleasant CC member. At one point she asked if I had made my choice of mains from the breakfast options. “Oh yes, I’d like the scrambled eggs & smoked salmon please” ……. to which she said : “It’s good you told me. They’ve only given us one of those, I’ll make sure your name’s on it” “Just the one loaded, really ….?” I asked, in no little amazement. My amazement soon turned to laughter when she broke into a wry smile and said “Yes ….. just the one. What do you think this is …….. First Class …..?!?”

Totally ridiculous of course ; so much so, that you can’t help but see the funny side (or maybe not ……..??)
