Just completed a 3+1 night stay (extended a night) for a total of 54k points and a TSU during the Great American Beer Fest. The hotel also had a conference going, so the place was hopping [you could easily tell which group was which]. An excellent stay all around:
- right next door to the convention center, so a great place to pre-/post-party for the GABF
- two welcome drink coupons cashed in for a pair of old fashioneds and enjoyed by the rooftop bar fireplace
- Blue Spruce suite on the 27th floor was spacious, and they "found" an additional day of suite availability that wasn't available on the website, so I added a day to the reservation
- front desk personnel were on the ball during the stay, although some breakfast charges slipped through after checkout that required a phone call to accounting
- frighteningly fast elevators
- extremely friendly and competent servers and bartenders
- unbelievable nearby access to multiple bus, tram and train lines
- very cool rooftop deck/hot tub area
- I preferred having a large dining table to a desk. The SO and I could both grab our laptops and papers and spread out.
The breakfast buffet was of good quality, but I'm not sure who would pay $25 for it when there is a very good "to-go" restaurant in the lobby. It was essentially a HP breakfast spread + an omelet station. Also, while the Blue Spruce suite claims to "accommodate up to 20 guests" with a large kitchenette area, it has no glassware, plates, bottle opener, etc.
