Last month, I was scheduled to fly TLV-MXP-JFK-ATL-FLL on a Delta award ticket and paid the takeoff/landing fees for the whole route. Fortunately, I was able to get this very involved schedule switched to TLV-EWR-FLL.
I was told, however, that I could not get the excess taxes refunded.
