Went in middle of May as Greece lifted restrictions. Went to Santorini and stayed by Oia for 3 nights and Athens for 5 nights at King George (KG) using points as next door was not available. Overall, my impression of the regular room at KG was small even though I was given an upgraded. After one night of stay, I did notice mold condition in the bathroom shower and complained to the front desk asking them to send someone to clean it. When we returned later during the day, front desk magically offered a bigger upgraded junior suite that had larger area. I did take some pictures of the junior suite, and will put them here when I sort through all of the pictures. Overall, the location of the hotel is ideal as it is literally walking distance among all of the tourist attractions. My wife and myself walked everyday and gained a healthy tan during the trip.
As other suggested, forgo the 1000 amenity points and opted the breakfast as it is definitely a better choice with buffet breakfast with a view of the Acropolis. As we come back during mid-afternoon for a brief pit stop at the hotel and found water/juice by the lobby elevator area. In general, I was happy that hotel enforced mask wearing as folks went self service for the breakfast buffet. Everyone in the hotel was very friendly and my wife had a positive feedback of the hotel during this stay. Two glass bottle water was provided daily along with daily turndown with chocolate. Didn't eat dinner at the hotel as we spent most of the day outside including trying different restaurants within the area.
Hope this helps.
