Also how much of this is on the airport operator? YYZ for ex has absolutely crammed it's concourse space with retail to the point that 300 passengers lining up to board clogs the area
YYZ can't make escalators work consistently. Having them reliably operate and manage some type of sophisticated gating system would be a pipe dream based on some high quallty halluciongens.
