A warm welcome to Lyndsay, and would like to post the first subject on this sticky to have clarified - one which all FT'ers would agree on as being highly unfair & 'not cricket', which is the £15 booking charge for off-line tickets, when said ticket wasn't available on-line to be purchased.

To charge £30 for someone to redeem an Amex companion voucher is one of the unfairest examples of this - by all means charge it when BA provide people the ability to use them as e-vouchers, but not when the only method of redemption available is by phone.

This charge also contributes to making the Amex voucher practically worthless if the holder of it only has enough miles for a short or medium-haul redemption. For instance, there are several £69 fares available, especially during sales, to almost all European destinations- an Amex 2 for 1 mileage redemption however would still cost £15 + approx. £40 in taxes, plus at least 10,000 miles per person.

Cheers Bob for comment below, would be great if others could voice their opinion or agreement on this, as I would imagine the more that did, the more Lyndsay could stress back to BA as this being an important issue - I deliberately & carefully chose this issue as is the only one I can think of that FT'ers are unaminous in their feeling that it is unfair.
