I do this pretty frequently when arriving on a redeye. I make sure to connect with the property by phone or chat the night before arrival. Never had a problem at a CY or RI, but could obviously be an issue at a resort with no late checkout obligation.

Yep. Bali service is generally very accommodating, so I'd expect to be able to work something out if I contacted the property well in advance.
