I'll have to investigate this a bit more as I use a soft shell case. I want to mount it in a way that it's not the first few places a potential thief would look. Or if they do, it's not easily removable.
Can't you throw them inside? Should work through the suitcase material.
Or at worst, put it in an outer pocket?
