I am currently traveling on a 3+ hour flight on a paid first class fare. The flight that was not catered meals, despite a meal being listed when booking. Apparently due to a maintenance related aircraft swap. No announcement was made at the gate, so I didn't bring food. At a minimum, they could announce so we could purchase food. While I commiserate with there being no food service, why the emphasis on a "paid" first class fare. If you were on an upgrade or an award, the grievance should be the same, right?
