Much of my credit card use is at grocery stores and restaurants that don't sell gift cards on giftcard.com. What I gather is that there is no way for me to use a virtual visa card to for this type of shopping, since these virtual visa cards can't be used on Apply Pay as far as I know.
If your store/restaurant sells gift cards online, you can pay for them with the virtual visa gift card purchased from giftcards.com. I buy Costco gift cards online with the virtual visa gift cards. The only downside is having to wait to get the physical hard Costco gift card in the mail.
