The cocktails they’re serving are amazing and I keep having to remind myself that this is *only* a Business Class lounge - the combination of bar team and lounge ambiance is beating the pants of many of the First Class lounges I have visited, including the JL HND and NRT lounges, CX Wing and Pier in HKG, QF LAX and MEL lounges (but not quite the SYD lounge owing to the design), LH First Class Terminal in FRA and the LX E Gates lounge.
Despite having a bit of a nightmare dealing with AC on the phone, the Signature Suite has absolutely reminded me why I fly AC back to Europe.
I've never seen the above mentioned lounges as crowded as I did the SS last week. With several longhauls delayed they were running out of space to place people and the ambiance was more of a crowded bus station, complete with a 5 min wait to use the toilet.
Food and drink was still spectacular but they seemed a bit understaffed for the amount of people in the lounge.
The lack of showers is definitely a significant minus that does not put the SS in the same league.
