I think the suites need a refresh but they are actually quite nice (in my opinion) anyway. Different people different tastes. My room is quiet. I noticed still a lot of music "noise" at 10 PM coming from the central pool area where the regular suites are (don't know if this is only a weekend thing). Conrad Suites are removed from the main lobby, restaurants etc. but I always consider that a plus! The only negative on the Conrad suites (from my perspective) is the lack of modern electrical outlets, e.g. charging ports etc. I have my own bag of tricks so not a big deal for me. Happy with the space and the quiet as I recover from jet lag.
I am at a meeting 2 km down the coast at the Westin Nusa Dua and happily walk to and from there along the coastal jogging track every day so any extra distance inside the Conrad compound is not a big deal. Others like to be near the action and I understand that--seems the Conrad is willing to accommodate for whatever your preferences are.
Only other item of note for me is that check in is slow but that is a problem in a lot of developing countries. If you are in a rush, not the place to be. Staff were apologetic about it.
and just to add pictures, other than 3/3 which looks like an upgraded area and area rug are pretty accurate. Spacious, clean.
