Hahahaha...report a bug to United about their website... <wipes tears from eyes>.

More seriously, no. I've reported dozens of bugs to United over the years (I'm a software developer and I know how to write a bug report that's meaningful and actionable -- heck, sometimes I even include a suggested fix!) and have never once gotten a meaningful response nor seen it "fixed". In most cases, the issue remains and eventually gets shuffled around as they slowly modify the website interface.

My latest frustrations are the broken sorting (both the fact that in the "new" flight display list it takes like 5 clicks to change the sort order, and the fact that it's frequently flat out sorted wrong after you do!) and the overall sluggishness of the website when used in Safari on macOS.

I've honestly gotten so frustrated that I've considered finding United website engineers on LinkedIn and buddy up to them with the hope of at least getting a better voice into their bug database.

On the flip side, they do participate in a bug bounty program and I found a serious security vulnerability which they did promptly fix so they're at least paying attention to the _serious_ issues. Lousy that they make you pay taxes on the miles you get, but kudos for at least participating. https://www.united.com/ual/en/us/fly...vdppolicy.html

Can you tell you touched a nerve?!

I mean, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Just after I posted that, I popped over to united.com to check something about one of my upcoming flights. While I was there I happened to get this on one of the pages. Last time I checked, my name was not "null".
