But if you're already staying on a promotional rate of some sort, it could be the e-standby offer is no better (or not much better) than just outright booking the better room at your currently discounted package/promotion. If you're interested in an upgraded room, then look at what it would cost to just go ahead and book it, and compare that different with your e-standby offers, and then you can determine for yourself, if this happens to be a good idea. But I don't think anyone else can possibly say whether this is a good deal, not knowing what you have already booked, or what you could book the upgraded rooms for.
