I disagree with the posters who as usual back the airline up. The airline agent made a representation that he relied upon to his detriment. I think AC should be obligated to open the seat up or if it's a partner buy it. I called AMEX once and the agent quoted me a price that was incorrect. We got disconnected, then when I called back the actual price was like 2x. I asked them to pull the tape of our previous call and they agreed that since the agent was taking my details @ that price and I had said go ahead and purchase, they would honor it. IMO this is more egregious because that was revenue and I could book something else, here the points would be frozen and useless.
