Have a situation and could use some feedback. I'm flying JFK-MXP in November and waitlisted an SWU. My SWU subsequently expired on Sept 30, but when I went into the app today I noticed that I got moved to business. I was even able to pick my new seat. When I look at the upgrade tab it still shows as requested and I don't have any SWUs in my wallet. Is it safe to assume that the upgrade was a mistake and that it will eventually be taken off or will I be asked to deposit a SWU into my wallet before I can get my boarding pass? I do have a choice reward I can select if needed, but didn't want to pick anything until absolutely sure it will clear. Thoughts? Sorry in advance if a similar situation has been addressed previously.
