It may be tried again for the same set of accounts, but given the balance of UA miles just sitting there not sure how soon that will happen. Especially after this annoying delay.
It was not four transfers in a matter of minutes. It was four transfers over the course of over an hour — with only the first three being initiated in a matter of minutes and within the same hour. It was one small transfer, one bigger transfer, and one small transfer within minutes of each other. The fourth and final transfer initiated was the biggest transfer and around an hour later that same day.
I wouldn’t have considered it excessive: one to test timeliness; one to transfer so as to have enough points for the desired flights using miles; one to top-up for a price change/miscalculation; and one to redeem for an additional traveler. And the remaining Chase UR balance after the transfers was still very substantial. Someone trying to rob the Chase UR account for UA award ticket redemption purposes would likely have transferred the whole kit and caboodle from the get go.
