TavelinmanS is talking about Asia, which is very different from USA in terms of elite recognition, just no comparison day & night difference. Many chain hotels Hilton included in Asia have gone extra miles like allowing elites have breakfast at restaurant rather than lounge only. Majority (at least 95%) of my hotel elite nights each year earned from Asia Pacific.
