Looks like from the recent discussion that it doesn't make business sense for AS to make X fares more ... "tolerable" for us, I totally think #2 idea would be an easier sell -- I would be more than happy to "trade in" my 4 AS Lounge passes for an additional discount on AS Lounge+ membership
Right now my options is $500 for Lounge+ (I'm not going to pay that much lol) or pay $450 for the Citi credit card that gives Admiral's Club membership. Soooo either I give AS $0 (because I'm not going to spend $500) orrrrrrr give AS $0 (and give Citi $450 instead)
If I can trade in my 4 lounge passes at full value, then Lounge+ membership drops to 500 - 4x60 = $260 or trade them for half value 500 - 4x30 = $380. I doubt AS will consider trading them in for full value, but hey I could trade them in at half value, then AS will get $380 extra dollars from me than the current $0 extra dollars

1. Cancel X fare for free and deposit $ into My Wallet. I used to sit in Economy-minus on Eewnited back when I was crediting to AC, so I'm no stranger to sitting in the back. Compared to ye olden dayes of flying, flying Alaska in Main Cabin is literal heaven (power in every seat)
2. Allow us to trade in our 4 AS Lounge passes for additional discount on AS Lounge+ membership -- ideally drop it to $200 (so I can charge it to my Amex Plat) or $300 (so I can charge it to my CSR)
Actually I don't even really care too much about 2 .... PLEASE JUST MAKE NUMBER ONE HAPPEN
