Failed transfer
Had an unusual experience and want to share the data point.
I've done many UR to hyatt transfers. Always instant. Same name, same account, etc.
Last week, I initiated a 207K transfer (bigger than I usually do) and it got caught up. Got the UR pending email, and points were gone, but never got to Hyatt.
Hyatt couldn't help. Chase couldn't help. "Can take up to 7 days...blah blah blah"
At exactly the 7 day mark. The transfer failed and the points cycled back to my UR account.
I had booked the room with a credit card in an effort to "hold" the inventory.
Cancelled the CC reservation and award availability popped up.
I then started the 207K transfer again and it was instant.
So I guess sometimes there is no rhyme or reason to this issue.
