The old CW seats were also a reason to avoid BA on longhaul in the past except on routes where there were only no or inconvenient (routing, schedule) alternatives. But the new CW suites are something I look forward to flying in the future. Will also try the new F next week, I was always underwhelmed by BA First in the past, compared to what AF and LX offer.
  2. The FA who presented the menu insisted on "you should really try something. It's sooo much better now, nothing compared to what we had in the past. A new caterer since one month. A company called M&Co (sic), they do catering for entertainment and things like that, before it used to be GateGourmet". And she said all of that without me asking or commenting anything... seems there is a history of people being unhappy about food onboard BA longhaul. I had the tray. Indian Vegetarian dish, which was okay-ish. Not good, but not justifying investments in time and money to buy things at T5 before departure. The mousse au chocolat was really good. The rest... yuck. Plus no choice, no salad, all on one tray, no drink refills - it's all perfectly bearable and so on. But it also is the lowest end of longhaul food I have had on carriers I have been flying with regularly (LX, AF, QR, EK, CX).
No drink refills? Really?
