Agreed. At times, it does strike me as...er...rather excessively opportunistic. But, hey, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. During those times, I may divert some of this business to their peers, or even to Southwest, Frontier or Spirit. So, it all works out in the end.

Not sure if it was their intention, but this aspect makes their Flight Pass scheme much more enticing, at least to me. So, because AS FP works for me, this aspect--the necessary segments--is somewhat offset.
