A question I have is, can the 77W still make it westbound on the JFK flight without a fuel stop, now that Russian airspace is bypassed?
I know that it’s all A350s now, and also that at times even with the A350, fuel stops at LAX have been necessary.
They don't have to avoid Russian airspace in the first place as Hong Kong and China remain neutral in the Russia-Ukraine Conflict, however, as they are owned by Swire, a British company, such pratice might be in place to entertain Swire.
