The arrival card is no longer required. The return to SFO was a cinch. I was through security and at the gate in less than 15 minutes. There was no one in the line for security, and it's about a 10-minute walk to gate 32. No lounge access, however. I was told that as a *G, I wasn't allowed in on this international flight. I attempted to tell her that I believed that she was wrong. She interrupted me and said, "Trust me, I work here. I know the rules." I went back to the gate but looked at United's website. The lounge agent was, in fact, wrong. No food on the flight either. No pillows, No blankets, even in first class. They didn't load the meals, and none of the flights, even the redeye down to Mexico comes with pillows or blankets. Fairly bad service. I'd have done better in the bulkhead or in the second row emergency exit.
Thanks for all of your responses. I played it safe, but I know better when I go down again, though I'll likely fly AeroMexico.
