I took a flight in F earlier this week on the new, and generally excellent, F suite (with the doors).

Sadly “something” happened after takeoff to four of the seats (1 F/K and 2 F/K) which meant that all functionality from the little control panel was lost. Seats would not recline, the table lamp would not operate and the lumbar support would not inflate. On top of that the window blind for the poor guy in 2K kept opening and closing of its own accord.

So that’s four F passengers with no recline and a whole cabin contending with sunlight sporadically flooding in. The crew struggled with the manual recline but did eventually mange to fully flatten the seats for those that wanted it. But a more gentle recline was not possible.

I’ve got to use these new seats four times this year and on two occasions we’ve had serious technical issues (another flight involved lights that would not turn off on a red eye).

Is this my bad luck or are others seeing the same thing?
