United will sell the last seat on every flight to their own members for a variable number of points.

United will sell a couple seats on every flight through partner programs for very few "points".

If you want to book through Aeroplan, search on Aeroplan. Searching for UA flights on UA's website is going to show you what you can book through UA, not what you can book through AC.
