IMHO I think you chose a bad day to fly with ANA. Their western food selection can be a hit and miss, but Japanese is always good flying out of Japan. Service can be a bit robotic but still way better than any US carrier can ever offer.

One thing I have to totally agree with you is how packed their lounges are at both NRT and HND - even in their FIRST section - and it is getting worse!
